REXOMANIACS

After almost one year of silence a fresh update about Mika and Senna, my two Cornish Rex. By now they are almost two years old; fully grown, cat adults, no longer play full kittens....however still the same rexmaniacs.

Like last year spring has arrived with lots of fresh energy for Mika and Senna. After a winter with reasonably calm days, with lots of naps, a little fighting and running, immediately followed by some more sleep, they are completely recharged for spring 2014.

After reading the previous messages in this blog you of course expect that this fresh energy will lead to lots of small and large disasters; races through the apartment, climbing the curtains, beating your sister senseless, biting your brothers tail, redecorating the house.

Well, denying this is happening is useless; even at almost two years old they are still going strong. They are also still musically very active with Mika on the late shift and Senna on the early one (does anybody know where to buy earplugs in large quantities?).

But this time I want to focus on the positive contribution of Mika and Senna to our house. Yes, you may be surprised, but my two kitties try to put there best claw forward and work to earn their keep. They take on all kind of house hold chores; doing the dishes, cooking, cleaning out the fridge or doing laundry.

So what can you wish more as spoiled kitty owner? All over the world cats have trained their humans to serve their every wish, so what do I have to complain about? Well maybe now and then it would be nice when Mika would not dry herself on my bed sheets after standing in the water, and just maybe it would be possible for Senna to take out the laundry from the dryer before laying in there for hours in a row?

Also, Mika the fridge is not an all you can eat restaurant or a kitty supermarket! And finally, how many more times are the two of you going to give me a near heart attack by sitting on the stove will it is burning?

No, for help in the house you should not rely on my two Cornish friend. However for cuddles, for hugs, for making you feel special and loved…please call Mika and Senna. You won’t find anyone better suited.
